Definitely a possibility if we can't find a good trade partner.

Can't wait for the Alex Gordon/B.J. Upton/Jason Heyward outfield of 2013.

David O'Brien is as spot on as it gets when it comes to covering the Bravos. Nothing wrong with that.

Rather than settle for someone who isn't a great fit, I say we let White Bear compete for the job out of spring training. Dude can mash. Sign Reed Johnson for insurance.

Between some combo of Reed Johnson, Constanza and Prado/PandaJr, it seems like enough to roll the dice on White Bear (assuming you have faith that Simmons can fill the leadoff role). With the $$ saved, it brings a lot more flexibility mid-season or at the trade deadline if you have to upgrade.

I see it less as trying to fill LF/leadoff and more as trying to replace Chipper's production. We need to hope B McC rebounds in a big way.

Victorino for a little over 12.5 mil a year at 3 years makes our signing of Upton look pretty damn good, not to mention Pagan getting a 4 year deal.
