No. It's over. Obama's done.

Shiiiiiit...not close.

I seriously used to think this board was for intellectuals.

What in the frick ever gave you that idea. There are some really smart cats here (most whom I don't agree with on most things), but even they don't rein in the um, others.

Everything loses its effect after too much repetition. I don't know that Obama cruises, but I'd still give him a solid edge. None of us know anything until the polling starts telling the story in a couple of days.

Just the hypoxic effects of Denver.

quote:

The Fix offers four reasons why President Obama gave such a lame performance in Wednesday night’s debate with Mitt Romney. But the oddest theory comes from former vice president Al Gore:

“I’m going to say something controversial here,” Gore told Current TV, the network he co-founded. “Obama arrived in Denver at 2 pm today, just a few hours before the debate started. Romney did his debate prep in Denver. When you go to 5,000 feet and you only have a few hours to adjust, I don’t know.”

FYI Cabin Altitude:
quote:

Cabin air pressure (WHO)

Although aircraft cabins are pressurized, cabin air pressure at cruising altitude is lower than air pressure at sea level. At typical cruising altitudes in the range 11 000–12 200 m (36 000–40 000 feet), air pressure in the cabin is equivalent to the outside air pressure at 1800–2400 m (6000–8000 feet) above sea level. As a consequence, less oxygen is taken up by the blood (hypoxia) and gases within the body expand. The effects of reduced cabin air pressure are usually well tolerated by healthy passengers.

Ohhhh. So he had gas. That would explain Michelle's expression in that pic onstage.

re: Do You Feel Sorry For Obama?

How does your life stack up next to his?

I think my life stacks up pretty darn well when compared to obama's.

I'm with a far prettier woman.

I haven't had a worry in my life that wasn't self inflicted in more than a decade.

The vast majority of people I've met in my life respect me.

I don't have to embellish or misrepresent my accomplishments as obama does regularly to establish self worth.

I'd be more than willing to put my advanced engineering degree up against obama's law degree.

I have far more ability than obama. Honestly, I don't think this man can do much.

I don't wear the signs of aging as does.

I'm happy and he's obviously not. Yea, my life stacks up well with his.

re: Do You Feel Sorry For Obama?

None of the Obama supporters that I know feel sorry for him, they're pissed at him. Even on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, the nation's #1 Black radio show, they weren't showing him any love. However, there are a few delusional folks who think that what he did was all part of some master plan, sort of a political rope-a-dope.

No. He made his bed and laid with liars and scoundrels. I hope that he gets exactly the empty fruits of his idiotic labors.

But can you organize a community?

Oh wait, as an Engineer, you must be able to start a project and see it successfully completed, something that the POTUS has never been able to do.

You seem like a solid guy, Holden, but the majority of your comparisons don't really pass muster--IMO. I guess it's largely a matter of one's own desires, goals, and values, however.

I guess we could go point by point if you wanted to press the matter, but there probably won't be much use to it.

Exactly. You articulated, better than I, the point I was attempting to make. Obama's life, merely my virtue of his fame and wealth, may not compare well with the lives of those of us who are truly happy, content and fulfilled.

I hope your own life is superior to any individual burdened with the insatiable need for power and with the responsibilities of the oval office.
