Any Money Boarders own a franchised business?

If so which one did you buy into and how do you like it? I always see articles about franchise ownership and am just curious how someone's personal experience is with it.

I looked hard into it over the past few years, but never made the jump.
When I was finally ready to do it and pinpointed one as a "sure fire" success, I called the exec of franchising, he said the territory was just awarded about a month ago.
Now I'm anxious to see where they put it and how successful it will be.
I have a few more in mind for more of secondary incomes, but need to get my career lined out first.

I've never met anyone that owns one but I would imagine you have to be heavily involved the first couple years to get it going, pretty much a full time job.

I have several clients who own or have owned in the past.
The ones who were successfull operated them on their own. The ones that failed hired full time GMs and mostly stayed away.
In my opinion, its tough to make a decent profit when corporate is taking their percentage of GROSS sales.

This...the only way you can turn a decent profit and living off of one is to 1) work it 24/7 and 2) own multiple locations. Seems like the number to hit for decent money is 10 (locations).

depends on the type of business. Fast food or even food for that matter, you definitely need more than one to do well. I don't necessary agree with working it 24/7 but you need to have a good system in place so that you dont have to be there 24/7.
