Why would you wear an LSU hat? You were obviously trying to get a rise out of people. If you do something with the intent of being a douche bag, don't be upset when people react.
If I went to an LSU game and wore a USC shirt and talked about how USC was the true national champion in 2003, people would respond pretty angrily.

I think the point is that there is no reason to get upset over it. It's not like we're rivals or anything. Being close in proximity doesnt make you rivals. If someone wore a ULL or ULM or a Memphis hat in the LSU student section when I was there I would not give one single shite.
ETA: Oh and someone please take Tulane's football program out back and shoot it already. Jesus

I personally wouldn't approach someone and tell them to remove their LSU hat if they wore it to a game, but I wouldn't want them to wear one to begin with.
When I see someone wearing LSU gear to any Cajun event, I am reminded of a school that is trying to ram the "flagship agenda" down the throat of every living being in LA.
I'm not down with that sickness.

This is what I'm interested in as well. ULM has held their own with the out of conference games against BCS schools (some of them are having a down year but it is still an impressive feat for ULM) and they crushed a bad Tulane team. But we have yet to see how they will do against the teams that see them every year. Remember there is a lot of parity in this league. Conference play is a whole other monster. We'll see if they continue to dominate when they play some solid conference opponents.

I took ULL -27 in a 4 team parlay of mine....this is the worst Tulane team I have ever witnessed, and I'm pretty sure that me and 4 of my friends can block better than TU's starting o-line.

I went to Bourbon for the NO Bowl and wore a red shirt out of respect. My friend kept tiger baiting and talking shite and I told him I didn't think he'd have any luck with a ULL skank with her shitty coonass accent if he kept it up.

In a way they're very similar. LSU fans really hate USC because of what happened in 03. But they are not rivals. UL and LSU are not rivals but as you already know there are plenty UL fans that hate LSU. In that respect, the USC comparison is very valid.

There are some misguided LSU fans that still hate USC even though it's misplaced hatred (they didn't vote themselves #1). There are plenty like me that don't give a shite. We are not rivals. Come on, you dont think I would get any crap if I walked into the student section at LSU's biggest home game of the year (minding my own business) with a USC shirt on? I will agree that sometimes people get too worked up over it but it's pretty freaking stupid to wear LSU stuff at a UL game. Why are they doing it in the first place?
