A lot of Warrior's matches were short. Isn't the match where he won the title from Honky Tonk Man like that too?
Not really fair to call this one into question. Honky Tonk Man was supposed to wrestle Brutus the Barber Beefcake and they'd been feuding a long time. Beefcake got hurt and HTM was the longest reigning IC title holder in history. He made an open challenge just so the fans could see something and Warrior sprinted out and crushed him in about 20 seconds. Fans loved seeing a cowardly heel get crushed in no time. Didn't do much to hurt HTM and catapulted Warrior to just under main event status, despite his inability to work a match. Warrior got a lot better working with Rick Rude. Rude shaped him up to get ready for his match with Hogan at Mania. Hogan isn't exactly a ring technician, either. But they worked on their match for over 4 months so it was Mania main event-worthy and it paid off. It would never fly by today's standards, but at the time, it was easily passable.

I miss the bickering between Heenan and Monsoon. "Will you STOP IT?!"

Stone Cold Steve Austin - good worker, great gimmick, good interviewer The Rock - great to watch in the ring, excellent mic skills Hogan - While not the best technician, great showman Ravishing Rick Rude - great showman, good on the mic, great in the ring Ultimate Warrior - was just plain fun to watch, great gimmick, his mic skills were... hm... unique... Andre the Giant - the first giant in the biz and still the best Kurt Angle - has it all and can play face or heel with equal excellence JYD - fun to watch, great showman the original DX (before HBK found religion) - they did GREAT bits back in the Attitude era, especially when feuding with the Nation Ric Flair - Do I really need to list anything here other than... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Andre is standing in the ring. Ultimate Warrior gets announced. He SPRINTS out, runs around the ring, gets in the ring, goes back and forth on the ropes several times, clotheslines Andre two or three times, then pins him and sprints out the ring and then backstage. I was so upset. I was like "That's it??"
I know exactly what you mean! I was a junior in high school at the time and he was my favorite. The WWF (at the time) was coming to Lake Charles for a house show and I drove to the Civic Center right after I got out of school to get tickets. I got 2 ringside seats, we were literally right at the aluminum fence surrounding the ring, I was so pumped to see the Ultimate Warrior in person! And just like you said, Andre the Giant comes out, gets in the ring and stands there. Warrior's music comes on, he comes running to the ring, does exactly what you said, 1,2,3 and runs back to the back. I still have some pictures of it. All 3 or 4 that I was able to take while he was out there. I said the same thing, "That's it? That was fast." I bought one of those black and white banner things that the WWF had at the time to hang on your wall of him. There was one of him and one of Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake too.

Bobby Heenan kills it
At the time, I didn't like him. But looking back he made an awesome heel. I laugh my butt off now when he calls the fans "humanoids."

Nice insight man. I was around 9 at the time an WM 6 was the first ppv I ever saw so I always went back to that match as one of the most memorable for me. No idea they worked on it for that long.

Hogan was definately not a technician, but he obviously had charisma and more importantly, understood ring psychology. Flair had it all (technician/charisma/psychology). Guys like The Ultimate Warrior and Goldberg had charisma, but not much else.
