Is Bill Snyder the greatest CFB coach of all time?

I realize there was a similar discussion recently, but it's hard to not continually recognize how phenomenal the guy as been. He took one of, if not the worst program in collegiate sports and turned it into a consistent winner that perennially contends for bowl games that pre-Snyder the program never dreamed of reaching. He leaves for a few years and it goes back into the tank. He returns and rights the ship almost immediately.
If Snyder was ever scooped up by a traditional power that could consistently recruit elite talent would he have multiple national championships to his credit? Or is his success dependent on bringing a unique approach to a school that will more or less remain out of the limelight? Either way, Snyder's career is nothing short of genius.

Bear Bryant took one of the worst programs in the country at the time, won an NC within 4 years, won 8 out of 10 outright SEC titles in the 70s, and 6 NC's overall. So no.

The guy should be up there. It's like he has some magic power that turns Kstate from a laughing stock to a team you don't frick with.

He is in the discussion. Top 5. Top 10 for sure.

I think Saban has to be at or near the top. The man is hated by everyone outside of Gumpland, but you cannot argue with his record the past 15 years in college football.

Snyder's a great, great coach but I've always felt that it's far more difficult to have a good program and get it over the hump to win championships than it is to take a bad program and make them decent. I mean Frank Beamer built Virginia Tech program up from nothing. Is he in the running to be the greatest CFB coach of all-time too?

I have him ranked around 16. He took a shite school and made a consistently good program out of them. But, c'mon man. The GOAT?
