Just got my I5 a few days ago. 32 gb white. I was ambivalent and almost returned it for the gs3 but am trying it out. So far, mostly like. The speed is simply amazing. I had a I4 before and am with AT&T. I click a forum and literally less than a second and it's done loading. Like the light weight, nice to have a home key that works again. I used turn by turn directions today and did well.
Cons: earphones suck - they nearly fall out my ears. Back to my Bose pair. I'm a tad unimpressed they did not change any of the sounds - like add ringers/tones and no new wallpapers. I know it's a small thing but come on. For a phone that has a hard time separating itself from its predecessor changing some of those little things could have helped the user. So far ill keep it but I'd hope apple does a full redesign for the 6 or they will lose market share.

They better not get a new connector. I'll be pissed again. But I agree that the speed is the only thing really different with the 5 compared to the 4s

Verizon is sending me a new handset. According to the tech on the phone my dropped call rate was 66%. Data and text messages are fine. LTE is super fast.

Gifs don't animate on your camera roll. They only work on the back end user and in the message history between you and the recipient...

Did they improve the speaker volume any on the 5? Because i think the 4 sucks in this regard.

the speaker is better than my HTC evo I had previously. It is pretty loud.
This is the case I got. It has decent reviews but it fits very snug and has good protection. Also got a HD screen protector. :

Anyone know what the thick grey sticker on the back of the 3GS antenna is? I couldn't get it off my old last night. I replaced the antenna/speaker/charging circuit and I failed to transfer this sticker. It seems like something to make the antenna work better, but I don't see it on any of the replacements or on any site for sale.

You cannot save gifs to your camera roll. If you want to text gifs you have to copy and paste them into text msgs. You can just text gifs to yourself and them fwd them later if you want to save some. I save ally gifs my photobucket acct so I can go copy and paste them when I want one.

thanks. i have the 4, and one of the drawbacks i had was the speaker volume could be a lot better. i'm glad they corrected that issue.

Absoultely love this phone. First time iPhone user and people can say what they want about the S3 but I'm loving the hell outta this device. A6 chip kicks ass. Now sprint just needs to get a move on with the LTE. Hearing it may be out in the Nola/br area by next month.

Its crazy. I went from a 3GB to a 64GB iPhone 4 to a 32GB iPhone 4S to the 5.
Each time I've upgraded the speed and fluidity of the OS is amazing. The 4S was bigtime fast but the 5 with that new chip makes it feel slow.
Same for the iPad 2. I wish it had that new A6. To have the rendering speed for the Maps app on the iPad 2 match the 5's smoothness would be amazing.

It'll be a good decision if your phone breaks. If not, you wasted $99. Just the way warranties work. Personally, I think it makes sense to spend $99 to protect your phone for 2 years.
