Right, because he didn't take less than he's worth from the Saints, which you claimed other QB's have done, but didn't give a single example of it actually happening. Every case of top shelf QB's "taking less money" has been them simply converting salary into a signing bonus, lowering the the player's cap hit that year, but having no actual affect on how much money they make.

Just to piggy back off of that, Jeff thinks CSP is gonna screw over the Saints and fans by getting paid market value instead of just resigning the same contract, even though it doesn't effect the cap or the team AT ALL.

Still, he did exactly what I was talking about, converting base salary into a signing bonus, getting exactly the same amount of money, just spreading the cap hit over multiple seasons. Actually, any QB that does that is coming out on top, since signing bonuses are essentially guaranteed (barring weird cases like Vick going to prison/early retirement). Base salary can be forfeited in the case of a suspension.
