Good song choice for him, but I heard a few pitchy spots. I think he did a very good job, but I don't think he knocked it out of the park. At all.

WTH is Adam going on about?

Not a great night overall. Cassadee is the obvious winner of tonight's show for me. Then, Terry, Trevin and Nick.

This sucks that they aren't doing two songs.

Should be Nick. Absolutely terrible song choice.

Yeah, I just don't get that. This is the crucial time. Two songs is appropriate, dammit.

Thought he came through like a champ. I would say more but 'hat will say I'm being condescending.

Actually, he didn't miss a note.

Could happen. I like Trev, but I don't think that song worked for him.

Terry, Cassadee and Nick are the cream of the crop, and I won't be pissed no matter who wins.

I think Casey Westin sang Stupid Boy in the first season. Btw I just looked her up and she does an awesome version of "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry on YouTube.

Trevin - ANOTHER chick song? Really? There's no more masculine songs out there in his range? Not bad, but I think he must have been told to be as loud as possible as often as possible because he seemed to force some of that. But that's his wheelhouse so he gets some leeway.

Buble - Meh. Some of the contestants this season have done better performances.

Nicholas - I called this song weeks ago. He started out well enough, but seemed lost in the middle and kind of pushed to hard toward the end. Very emotional performance with his wife right there. I think it would have been a biiiiiiig emotional winner had he actually gone all the way out to her.

Blake & Co. - Meh.

Cassadee - Pretty song, did well on it. If she makes it to the finale (which she absolutely should) I think Lisa Loeb's "Do You Sleep" would be a really good fit.

--Blake had a great point about Cassadee and country music. She has a sound that would translate extreeeemely well to country.

Terry - Started off like a stampede of awesome. Towards the middle of the song he seemed to get flat a few times (which is insane for him). The really big parts he nailed well though. I think the win for the night is between he and Cassadee.

If there is justice in the world, the battle for the bottom is between Nicholas and Trevin.

I was trying to think of other songs that Nicholas would do great with. I think him singing "with a little help from my friends" would be a good choice if he made the finale.

Rainy Night in Georgia and Sittin on the Dock of the Bay would also be good choices.

He would have to reign it in a bit for Dock of the Bay (he tends to want to go off on his own a little too much), but he could really let loose with Rainy Night in Georgia.
