Not really. I can't remember anything stellar and most of them were pretty rough. It was a disappointing finale. CeeLo looked like a clown as usual. Christina was all giddy because it's her birthday. There were a few funny parts, but it was LONG and the ending was so so. I don't even think Cassadee cried. I think it was so obvious that she had a planned response. I was sort of hoping at the end that Terry would win by some miracle. She's going to get something anyway. He could have used the boost, though I think his future is definitely music.

His brother-in-law tells me that he's already received a lot of offers. The interesting thing that it can be a good thing not to win the top stop. If you do you're tied to NBC for, I believe, two years. As it is, he can now shop for the best deal.

I've watched the whole season but this is my first time posting in the thread

A few of my thoughts...

1. Cassadee deserved to win. She was a fantastic singer and of the final three was the one that had the style to be a regular on current radio stations.

2. I wanted Nicholas David to win. When it came down to the finalist at least. You could tell he really needed the money more than the others. All he talked about for two episodes about his new house and when he finally went to it, it was like a little small old house so I felt bad for him. Also he was awesome.

3. I liked Terry early on but god he got boring. He can sing for sure but crappy 80's rock songs got old quick. My god branch out a little bit dude. And freaking do something other than just walk around, show some excitement instead of putting me to sleep.

4. My favorite singer in the history of these kind of shows, granted I've only watched a few, is Melanie. She was fantastic and could do any genre and make it her own. Christina absolutely hated her. She never said anything positive and only talked about her props. By the end you could tell Melanie hated her too and barely could look at her and never was fake and smiled at her while she was getting dogged in a slight manner. Loved her and I hope she gets some deal. Hopefully Adam will do something for her.

5. SUCKS Cee-Lo is leaving. Anybody know why? I guess maybe money? Super excited Christina is going. Solely on the way she treated Melanie Shakira is super hot.

For those of us who have yet to watch the finale, thanks for spoiling it by putting the winner in the thread title

No shite... was going to FF to the end and was almost certain she was going to win, but still.

You're my boy but everytime Melanie sang I wanted to pour Draino in my ears.

It can be a good deal, but you have to get the good deals and, hopefully, Blake with help him out. I don't know how far he can go. I think he's really good, but he's not that unique to me. Cassadee actually has a certain voice that I like.

Seriously?

Not successfully if she can actually do this with ANY genre. She sounded the same every week and that good ship lollipop deal was gawdawful.

I liked that she was trying to be different, but her voice made me want to drive nails into my ears.

Christina and Cee Lo are only going to be out for next season, then they will come back. Something to do with their tours.

Anyone that has watched for the past month could tell this was Cassadee's to lose.

I thought Nick & Smokey did well together (even though Smokey looked creepy) as well as Terry & Frampton. Cass & Avril stole the duets though.

Nick & the gang doing Kiss, worked well.

I knew XTina was leaving (and was joyful) but had no idea Cee-Lo was going too. At least he's coming back (maybe they can "forget" to invite Bitchtina back...?)

I read somewhere that they were going to try to start doing two season of The Voice per year, and were going to have all new judges because doing two seasons each year was going to take away too much from their music careers.

Maybe they'll stagger it so Adam and Blake will be on a season with the two new judges, then Christina and Cee-Lo will be on a season with two more new judges?

Just checked the Wikipedia page...

quote:

NBC announced on September 25, 2012 that it ordered two more seasons of the show for the spring and fall of 2013.[18][19] The fourth season is slated to begin airing on March 25, 2013,[20] and have Usher and Shakira added as replacement coaches for Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, respectively, who will take off a season to focus on their music careers.[18]

Nothing about Adam being gone, but it's still three months away.
