I've said two things all along:
1) Mettenberger should have started the 2nd half against Alabama in New Orleans. We had nothing to lose, even viewed from the perspective of that moment. It's the one thing Alabama wasn't expecting--like the option in the first game.
2) If Mettenberger is even a little better than JJ or JL then no one--no one--will be able to stop our offense. And I'm saying that directly to the people in Tuscaloosa.

I hope that these comparisons stop. Mett looked as good as ANY qb we have ever had last night. Jamarcus included. Of course the big games will tell us how truly good he is. Wish we still had Rueben.
