I think the D might be a tad down but the O is way up. Special teams is yet to be seen but most likely even.

Secondary still a bit of a question mark. I trusted Brandon Taylor a hell of a lot more than I do Craig Loston.

Absolutely.

Massive QB upgrade alone. The defense looks every bit as impressive and then some.

Hard to say. I think the defense is worse, the offense is better.

I think we have more potential at QB, but our Defense is a step back. However, if the D-backs gel, we are right there.

D is a touch down, O is a definitely better. ST is also likely a push.

We'll see how we fare.

Yeah I hear you about Loston.

I still believe the defense is playing better than that of last year's. So far at least. They have been literally flawless outside of that 1 missed play and literally 1 drive in 2 full games now.

This is the only down for me.

The offense was great last year because we had a great running game. Now we have a great running game and a consistent passing game. This team seems better, imo.

ETA: The linebackers seem to be a significant upgrade. And I was really high on Baker, fwiw

Linebackers and D Line are dominant. The Secondary looked very good tonight. Jalen Mills with a big INT. Not as good as last year but very good SEC defense

Yes, this year's QB gets the ball in the hands of playmakers rather than wanting the ball himself.

Mettenberger looked sharp tonight. I think that's going to end up being the difference. I don't believe the secondary is quite as good as last year's though.

Exactly what I'm staying to say. And The linebacker play is far faster IMO, the secondary is playing fine. The D line is as talented and playing as expected.

I am concerned about Loston in a big game.

Also we don't have anyone of the caliber of R. Randle. No knock to J. Laundry or OBJ. Fortunately we have an upgrade at QB that can overcome this.

Two major improvements are at QB and the LBs. The DL may be a tad better too, we are a little down in the secondary though. They are young and will do nothing but get better.

Last years team was proven against better more talented teams. At this point last year there was no doubt there was something special about the team. I honestly dont think there will be any way to get that answer til atleast the Alabama game.
