I have always been interested in Popcorn's legacy as a moonshiner, and yesterday I finally got around to picking up a jar of this stuff. I had it in a tumbler with ice. It is freaking good. Definitely not as strong tasting as I thought it would be. And I love the 'corn' aroma it gives off when you twist off the lid. I'm not sure if it's available in LA, but I certainly recommend it.

Pritchard's makes a pretty good Tennessee White Whiskey as well. I believe it can be found around BR.

Doesn't Bocephus own a part of the company? If so, it's gotta be pretty good.

Yeah, he and Popcorn's widowed wife Pam Sutton are the owners. The distiller is Jamey Grosser, who is supposedly the only other person who knows Popcorn's secret recipe and techniques. He took him under as an apprentice while it was still illegal.

There are some good articles on Popcorn available on the Internet. The man was a legend.
