Underground Garage (SiriusXM 21)

Greatest channel in history. Plays everything from 50s rockabilly and 60s garage nuggets through 70s punk/new wave to current bands.

But the greatest single show on SiriusXM is American Roots Radio, on The Loft ch 30 Saturday at 5 and Thursday at 11 PM.

It's fun the first month, then you will hear the same songs over and over and over...

I don't listen to the radio that much (I have a shortish commute, and I listen to the local sports talk on the way home), so I'm not too worried about burnout.

but I love the suggestions. I found Little Stevie's Garage as well. I stopped because I saw there was an obscure Chuck Berry song playing, and I'm a sucker for Chuck Berry.

I've had Sirius for a long time now. First Wave is still my #1. Watch out for Richard Blade though. I devoted a thread to him WAY too much:
Pet Shop
Erasure
Depeche
Bronski
Etc

Madison has had some incredible runs, and she's funny.

The Loft is underrated, but is hit/miss. Same with Outlaw Country and Underground Garage. For whatever reason, The Ravonettes are only played on Underground Garage, so I have them set on artist seek, since that channel does not appear in my top 6 of visible lines of display.

Prime Country

Why would anyone buy satellite radio to listen to country? Every country station is the same, and I like country.

ETA: JamOn is my favorite, followed by SiriusXMU

Because you can't listen to good country on regular radio these days.

I would buy it just for this station fwiw

90's is probably my least favorite country other than what's on now. I do like Outlaw and Willie's though

This. Prime Country plays country form the early 90's.

Octane and Lithium are my go to channels when I'm not listening to NFL or ESPN. Which I will be doing a lot more of now.

Anybody else listen to the Bob Dylan Theme Time channel? It's similar to the American Roots Radio show I mentioned above, though in my opinion not quite as good. It does have the advantage of being on 24/7, and it is definitely worth listening to.

One of my artist seeks is Kathleen Edwards. One of her songs showed up this week on some Canadian channel I had no idea I had. I've had some come up on the gay channel too. NTTIAWWT.
