1983 season-I got tickets from friend of mine and my dad and I went to TS curious to see us play this far far away team from Seattle for first time since they were ranked around 14th I believe. It was a night game of course but don't recall if any network covered but the atmosphere was ELECTRIC and a record crowd for the time (83,000) watched Wickersham, E Martin, J Fontenot, D Hilliard, G James and the cast of unranked Tigers open a can of Bayou WhoopAss on the Huskies! Opened up a pretty good lead like 21-0 I believe before they even scored and ended 40-14 by time the whipping was over! These same Tigers then proceeded to win only 2 more games the rest of the season!
Hoping/thinking this will follow a similar script except for the season results of course!
Anyone else there and have better recollections of the game?

That game was the last open admission game for students. We exceeded capacity by 4000. I believe attendance was 98000+ It was crowded where I was sitting Every guy in the student section had a girl in his lap even if she wasn't your date. UDub went for a 4th and inches late in the game. It was so loud you could feel the noise in your chest. The UW qb looks to ref to quiet the crowd, he just laughs and tells him to play on. We stopped them and won the game

Was 83,000 and some change. TS only had West deck at the time and was listed as 81,000 or so.

I remember it being hot and humid, as is the normn for that time of year. Their coach, Don James, said afterward,"I'll never bring another team into Tiger Stadium." He never did!

I was a senior in high school and brought my new/last girl friend to her first LSU game. We have since attended many LSU games together with hopes of many more to come.

I was at Fun Fair Park looking at the Lights of Tiger Stadium...listening to Jackson Brown's "Somebody's Baby"!!!

It was AT NIGHT FOR SURE!!! It may have started early...but most of the game was in the dark.

I'm positive it was a day game. I had tickets from the Manship family ( BR Advocate) Best seats I ever had in Tiger stadium.
