And don't get me wrong...it's a good movie. But one of the most overrated ever. And I do admit that part of my thinking for that is how much I had heard about how unbelievably awesome it was before I watched it.

Luckily, I had only heard minor buzz about this film the first time I saw it. I think that was in 98 or 99. I was pretty lost the first time I saw it, but after that first viewing it is really one of my favorites of all time.
The ease of using Lebowski quotes in everyday situations is mind boggling. I sometimes will make random quotes and people I don't even know will chime in with another and we inevitably end up having a fun convo.
The whole scene when the dude meets the videographer and Maude starts talking on the phone and they both start with that laughing--I can't handle it. I always lose my shite. I feel just like the dude does in that scene.
Another great line I say is:
"Papers. My business papers"

Watch it again. Honestly most people don't get it the first time since they're too wrapped up in the plot. Its one of those films that absolutely requires a rewatch in order to get what is going on. I was the same way when I first watched it, but now its in my top 5 comedies.
