Absolutely, but it will slow down as the young guys get established and gain veteran status.

Quaterbacks from LSU named Matt remind Pete Carroll that he did not actually win the national championship in 2003, so he is exacting revenge

yeah flynn only has the GB record for yards in a game against a playoff team

So I guess this makes him a better qb than Rodgers or Favre with this logic. Come on man you better than that.

The NFL hardly gives high paid rookie qb's the chance to do that anymore. Sort of baptism by fire now. Not saying this will happen with RW, just that it seems to be the trend the past few years.

This is true but Wilson isnt in that category. He gets paid less than $1M a year. Most of the time teams do that to see wht they got with so much money tied up. In this case, you could argue that they need to play Flynn for that reason.

Wilson isn't a high paid rookie. He was a 3rd round pick. Meanwhile, the Seahawks gave Flynn 27 million over 3 years.

Flynn will start.

Wilson will be the starter. He has had a better camp and stats in games. Basically, they have tried hard to keep their money guy as the starter to save face....but Flynn hasn't gotten it done...yet

The only reason I started this thread was to see those hilarious draft pics!

Pete Carrol has already screwed Matt Flynn. The quarterback is the leader of the franchise. Flynn was paid $27 million to come in and be that guy. But from day 1 Pete Carrol has not given the team over to Flynn. Flynn can't be expected to lead the team when the head coach keeps dangling his job over to a rookie that played one good half of exhibition football against people trying to make a team. (I argued a little different for Jarrett Lee because he is just trying to make the team, not be a starter) Matt Flynn's first exhibition game he played pretty darn well. I think he completed his first 7 passes. The starters only played about 3 series and that was it. If Terrell Owens doesn't drop a touchdown pass in his belly in game 2, Flynn's numbers from that game aren't so bad.

I hope Russell Wilson breaks his leg and when Pete Carrol turns to Flynn, Matt just says, "Nah, I've got my $27 million, put in Tavaris Jackson."

(I know that all of Flynn's money isn't guaranteed, but the point is he's getting screwed badly here)

Seattle’s in great shape as both Flynn and Wilson have look good. Seattle needs to see if Wilson can play against 1st team defenses. But lack of a good receiving corp hurts Flynn the most. Flynn has looked really sharp, so i don’t think they are disappointed in him at all. Flynn’s got his money so he’s in good shape which ever way things go. Flynn’s going to be a good qb no matter what happens.

Who ever puts the most butts in the stands will be the winner. If it is Wilson, good for him.

Is there a video of that long pass from Flynn to TO. It appeared that the pass was longer than I thought Flynn could throw.

Two passes from Flynn to TO that went through his hands would have meant a lot to his stats/ performance.

Wilson has outplayed Flynn in every category this preseason. Flynn looked terrible against the Broncos. He will be lucky if he holds onto starting job.

Seattle loved LSU. I heard lots of good things after that game from co-workers who went to the game

Ranters gonna Rant...

Guys, the contract was 3 years for 27 million, but he only got $10 million in guaranteed money with the new CBA setup. So their investment was only slightly more than we put into Darren Sproles by comparison.

Also, Carroll loves to talk sh!t about "competition" and creating situations where players have to "compete". He's a dumbass but that's what he does, & Flynn had to know that walking into the situation.

When it comes down to it, I don't think Wilson will last. His stature & his inability to show he's a pocket-passer that can consitsently get the job done will pale in comparison to Flynn's quiet confidence and wonkish knowledge of the playbook with the physical ability to translate that knowledge into the right decisions on the field.

Having said all that, Carrol has not handled the QB situation very well with Whitehurst/Tavaris etc last year. Let's see how he does this year.
