hell yeah he in trouble....the only thing that stopped wilson from being a 1st round pick was his height. He is more talented then flynn

Wilson is going to be a great NFL QB. Been a fan of his play for years.

watching his highlights from NCSU he reminds me of Drew Brees at Purdue. But, he has better mobility. I've been trying to think of another qb to compare him to.

Wilson has outplayed Flynn in every category this preseason. Flynn looked terrible against the Broncos. He will be lucky if he holds onto starting job.

This is blatantly false

No, but I know which one they a.) started with the ones, and b.) paid $27 million to.

Flynn has been playing against the 1st teamers, and Wilson has not.

Flynn is sitting this game as it is the 3rd preseason game.. Right?

Wilson will be the backup as Jackson will be traded.

what's your point?

are you trying to compare the situation in Seattle to the one in New England? Because Tom Brady wasn't even at that game last night.

The point is if anyone honestly thinks Wilson will be the starter, they don't watch much NFL football.

Not really sure what Pete Carroll is trying to prove with this qb "competition"

shitload compared to what? Green Bay isn't going to pay the backup QB any substantial amount of money. Shitload compared to the majority of working people, yes, but shitload compared to other NFL players, doubtful. How many backups that were signed to be backups do you know of that signed big contracts? Not to mention the fact that if you're an NFL player you don't bust your arse to be content with being a backup your whole life, never striving to be a starter. If you have an opportunity to be be a starter, you take it.

I understand this but he only looked good against ONE D that was even avg, under a system he was totally comfortable with. Now wuth a new system he is strugglin, But I can't imagine that Seattle would fork over ALL that money to let him sit.

he looked pretty good against the patriots the year before. and you said it, he's learning a new system. that doesn't happen overnight, not to mention seattle has an abortion of a WR situation.

Flynn has only been the "starter" for a few weeks. Carrol had Jackson and Flynn splitting first team snaps up until a couple weeks ago.

The 3rd game is usually when 1st teamers play the most.
Flynn might be the undisputed starter going into the season, but Carrol sure has handled this QB situation in a strange way.

Also, another knock n Wilson going into the draft was the fact he'd never been a pocket QB. How many successful option QBs have we seen fail at the next level? plenty. Sure his height was an issue, but that wasn't the only reason he wasn't a 1st round pick.

If you think Wilson is an option QB, then you've never seen him play a single game. The guy has been playing at a very high level since he stepped onto the NCSU campus ... and NEVER as an option QB. I would say he has a stronger arm than Flynn, but his lack of height forces him to move outside the pocket to find passing lanes.

I see a lot of people on here haven't watched these games. Flynn has outplayed Russell Wilson in both games. Russell Wilson's athleticism makes him look better than he is. Flynn has learned a lot playin behind Aaron Rodgers, in fact if I didn't look at his number I'd swear I was looking at Rodgers. Same decision making and calmness, the only difference; Seattle has nowhere near the talent at WR that Green Bay has.

Mr. TO dropped a perfect touchdown pass from Flynn, Flynn is nowhere near the player he was at LSU for 1 year!
