I think its safe to say LSU has let him know what he has to do and now its up to him to accept the terms if he wishes to play at LSU ever again.

If Mathieu sticks around for a year and then plays at LSU next year, I suspect he's getting some good advice about what's going to happen to his draft stock otherwise. If he accepts the year and comes back solid, it's back to maximum draft potential.

I don't agree. LSU has a hold on this kid I really believe that. I think he loves being a Tiger and after being hit with a huge reality check, he realizes if there is anyway he can play for LSU again he will try. He has proved himself in the SEC,so coming back to play in it wouldn't do a great deal to improve his draft status at this point.

When it's all said and done, Mathieu is going to have a great story.

Well I think Magee at WR solves our crowded factor and gives everybody reps. Now you're looking at possibly only 5 true rbs and Magee in the Shepard role like in 09. I think after seeing Hill in the spring, Miles thought it best to use Magee's other talents to get him on the field quicker knowing that a RB with WR skills is a deadly combo.

Now i'm really sure one of our backs goes over a 1000yds. Only 2 and a half more weeks.

Let's hope. I'm praying if he's let back (or hell even if he's not) he doesn't completely frick up again. He made some BEYOND moronic decisions already.

I agree, and hope so... would be great for that young man to pull through when nobody thought he could..

on the other side (i'm just playing devil's advocate here, not hoping or wishing this would come true), can you imagine the negative publicity him and LSU would receive if he came back and got in trouble again?!?

It shows a lot of character and loyalty from both sides. If TM can rebound from his mistakes and get on the straight and narrow LSU should seriously consider letting him back. It shows compassion and a strong pimp hand at the same time.
