Which type of bullets do you shoot(rifle)?

Looking for a new round this year. I've been shooting the Federal Vital-Shock with sucess, but if you don't place it 100% perfect you hardly draw blood. Then agian they drop like rocks most of the time. I hear Silvertips leave a nice hole on exit, but I'm not sure if I want to destroy my deer. What does the OB use when they are not using their bows?

6.5x55: Hornady Custom 140gr soft points. I don't really like em, but that's what I got
.270 win: Federal blue box 150 gr round nose soft point. Most badass bullet on the face of the earth. Cannot recommend enough.
.30-30: Remington 170 gr core lock soft points. Never shot a deer with it farther than 40 yards.
ETA: Things I recommend you DON'T use:
Core locks (I know I know)
Hornady SST's
Hollow points
Anything that costs more than $40 a box.

Barnes X as I have for a decade or more. Still the best in my book. Get the lead out...

.270 Winchester 130 gr. accutip
I'm thinking of changing to something else though. I've had a few runners in the past few years even though my placement was good. I think it lacks the knock down power of the good old core lockt

Remington Core-Loc in my .280 160 grain I think
Same for my 30-06 except 180 grain. Love these bullets
Hornady in my 45-70 and I hate them

Remington Core Loks..but only after Ive carried em around for a few years and got em nice and brown. Cant have all that flashy brass scaring off the deer.
Also, shoot a bunch better if the tip has been numbed down to look like the end of a hotdog, more impact and stopping power that way.

I have a nice little stock of Federal Premium Nosler Partitions
I've killed my share of nice Bucks and now it's all about my 12y.o. son...so for the past couple years I just enjoy hunting with him...so the choice of ammo for now is the Remington Managed recoil
