As Jim Kleinpeter of LINK reports, there's no validity to Tyrann Mathieu returning to #LSU. That page needs to be turned.

Source tells @JimKleinpeter that Tyrann Mathieu to #LSU is a no-go. Also says decision coming on Wednesday. -

That source has no credibility. There are other options for a transfer, fact.

This was Mathieu's 3rd failed test, which results in 1 year suspension from team (loss of scholarship). How can he not be able to come back? You can't jump from 2nd to 4th failed test.

Well, theoretically, he could go play at McNeese for a year, then play for LSU in 2013.
ETA: Disregard, I'm an idiot.

Schad is a hack. Guilbeau is worse. I guess we'll have to just sit and wait.

Nothing that Miles, Alleva, or Martin said makes me think TM cannot sit out and come back after a year.

So, the only school in entire country where TM can play football is McNeese? Wha?

I can't believe nola.com has become such a shitty, clunky site to read...

He'd have to sit out 2013 if he wants to transfer back up I believe. you can't transfer down, then transfer back up in consecutive years without sitting under transfer rules I'm fairly certain.

A source close to dismissed LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu disputed an ESPN.com report that said Mathieu was considering a return to LSU in 2013 after sitting out the the 2012 season.
Tyrann Mathieu says he wants to come back to LSU even if he sits out a season.
The source said remaining in Baton Rouge "wouldn't be happening" and that McNeese State, which Mathieu visited on Friday, is prfesently the only option for transfer. The source said Mathieu, who has returned home to New Orleans, will make a decision on transferring by Wednesday.

Somebody posted the rules in the stickied thread. It appears that, according to the rules, he could come back after serving a 1 year suspension.

Both are just reporting news they hear.

I personally go off of LSU drug policy.
