He wants to buy an aurora R4 for about 3 grand including all the bullshite features he added(fricking absurd i know)
he says he is too lazy to buy parts separately and assemble himself
recommend me some other PCs on par with that one that are cheaper or close to the same in price

I'll put it together for him. DIY PC combos on newegg. I love doing that shite. I'll do it for $50.

yup newegg for sure, If he justs like the case tell him to buy one on ebay. I'd go Gigabyte board, intel Cpu and Nvida Graphics card.

One of the best parts about building computers is picking out the right parts you need. For $2k-3k, you can build an absolute BEAST of a gaming pc that can far out perform the Alienware PCs. If he doesn't want to pick out the parts, give me a price range and I'll pick out the parts for him, and if he's in baton rouge, I'll put it together

I wouldn't ever spend more than $1k on a computer. That alone will run anything on the market on maxed out settings with a decent sized monitor.

Budget is 3,000 tops
Give me a build
All I know is that he wants an SSD (atleast 128 GB), atleast a 2 TB HD, atleast a 3.5 GHz processor, needs a sound card that can support dolby or something like that
idk thats all i remember

Dude for 3k he will be running a computer capable of piloting the damn curiosity rover along with several predator drones while trying to slay Diablo in hell difficulty.

To get to 20% usage?

This is completely overkill for gaming. There's no reason he needs 3.5ghz processor, but I put it on there anyway. The i5 ivy bridge would be perfectly abundant.
EDIT: Sound cards are dumb, IMO, and he still has $1k left for peripherals

Dual high end video cards and multiple 27"+ monitors are the only thing that I should push him to 3K and most of that would be overkill in for gaming, imo.

That's a really good build (although I'm more of an NVidia fan). With the extra 1k I would bump up to a 512 SSD. These days 128 for the primary drive will fill up before you know it (especially if he wants to bounce between multiple games).

I would use the ssd only for a boot drive and for a couple games that I'm in to at the time. The 2tb hdd would be the primary drive. I think, for the price, crossfired 7970s is one of the best deals you can get
