It's been a shitty couple of days man. Damn ac at my house goes out Friday, and now my 10 yr old chocolate lab is probably going to that duck lease in the sky. Best dog ever without a care in the world. He's at the emergency room with my mom and brother right now, and its not looking good. Cancer and punctured liver(not sure how), and severe arthritis.

Sorry to here that. Take care of your buddy and fix the a/c. Then go get out on the water and take out that frustration on some poor unsuspecting boaters and fisherman.

That sucks man, my heart goes out to you. As far as a punctured liver It was probably due to metastatic cancer spread.

He's at an emergency vet clinic, the update now is its either total liver failure or cancer. They can do exploratory surgery to find out, but nothing they can do either way.

I've gone through the same exact situation with my last dog. I just let them put her down.

I couldn't even go back in there. I'm sorry bud, I cried for 2 weeks. You'll get through it.

This dude was with me all through the military, and always happy as ever when I came home. So easy going, perfect around my kids who would.pull on his ears and tail and try to ride him like a horse. Dude couldn't care less...awesome dog.

fricking sucks.

The next couple of days will suck. Excercise through it. I cried through excercise a bunch of times, but it still helped.

In two weeks, it won't hurt as bad. And then you can start thinking about another one.

To you and ole' boy.

Sorry to say I can relate to what you're feeling. It sucks and only words of encouragemnt I can offer are to think about the blessing you do have. Hope your loss is minimal

Try to be thankful for all the good times he brought you and your family... is all I can offer.

You're right. It sucks.

Umm address? I'm sweating like a whore in church right.now...85 degrees in here.

My dude is staying the night while they run a few more tests to make sure they didn't miss anything. Then I go pick him up to bring him to his regular vet in the am for his opinion.

Already surpassed the $1200 mark, he looks like hell, but at this point I'm just hoping its curable w/e it is.
