If you're refuting the OP's facts you should do a little research yourself.
Like this?
quote:

Judy Nichols, a Papa John’s Franchisee explained how the Affordable Care Act affects her ability to open more stores, telling Legal Newsline:

“I have two options, I can stop offering coverage and pay the $2,000 fine, or I could keep my number of staff under 50 so the mandate doesn’t apply. Obamacare is making me think about cutting jobs instead."

Stating the company's position on Obamacare, John Schnatter told Politico:

"We’re not supportive of Obamacare, like most businesses in our industry. But our business model and unit economics are about as ideal as you can get for a food company to absorb Obamacare."

McDonald’s estimates costs of $10,000 to $30,000 will be incurred at each franchise

However, it is reflective, in my opinion, of what we can expect across the board from most businesses.

Again, I said it yesterday... Why don't the Dems understand that businesses will NOT lose money off of their stupid fricking regulations... They will either cut staff or pass the increased costs onto their customers.

Exact same thing the Credit Card companies did with the new regulations

Note the one thing Ms Nichols DOES NOT SAY is she will be providing healthcare coverage for her employees under Obamacare.

She will either pay the fine or layoff staff.

Got it?

You're exactly correct. And I would advise them to continue to pass these costs on to consumers. By not doing so, margins will be squeezed yet further and costs will have to be pulled from the business. Guess what the fastest and easiest way to cut costs is?

Barack Obama needs to realize that there's not just this vague economy out there that's in a vacuum that for some reason just doesn't seem to want to get its act together. His POLICIES are causing much of the turmoil, be they directly as with ACA, or indirectly with the mistrust he's built up between his administration and American small businesses.

I just don't understand the thought process. The only conclusion I can come to is that liberals place greater emphasis on liberal pet projects than they do on the economy. No right-minded person can look at the data we have and not agree that what we've done hasn't worked and what we're doing isn't working. Krugman and the like, they realize this. They just place greater value on liberal idealism than economic realism, plain and simple.

It is absolutely breathtaking how many liberal dems have no understanding of basic economic business principles. In this thread alone, you have people simply dismissing the overriding crisis, by basically saying (paraphrase) ...oh well I can afford another 14 cents for pizza. There is no consideration how these costs are spread across the board. It's amazing and depressing at the same time.

Nice.
Just had a Martini on our porch with a west wind blowing, watching the waves roll in. Beautiful, beautiful night.

No pizza though.

As the song goes . . . . Wish you were here.
