Shoes for Boat Ramp

Bought a jet ski a few months back and every time I try to trailer or untrailer the thing I am slipping and sliding all over the damn place. Busted my arse pretty good today actually. Any recommendations on some strapped sandals or something with really good traction for the slick boat ramp?

Man I thought I was going to have a concussion I wiped out so hard today. I saw my damn feet before I landed lol.

Walmart used to have some cheap slip on beach shoes that would work good for landing slime.

I've had a few pairs of them and they do help. I'm just wondering if they make something specifically for having traction in that slime. Seems like everyone else is just walking around with no problems.

Not Crocs. I have busted my arse more in them than any other shoe.
I bought some Columbia Drainmakers and really like them. They have a running shoe type sole but are porous and the water drains and dries quickly.

Sitting at a boat landing on a sunday afternoon with an icechest of cold beer is a WINNER.

Seriously. They are called "Chacos" and they are very comfortable.

The shoes you are looking for are vibram five fingers. They are hands down the best water sport shoes that exist. I got mine to run in, but didn't really like running in them. Wore them one day offshore and, excepting cold weather, haven't worn anything else when fishing/canoeing/ anything by water.

Up here in the mountains, fly fisherman use boots with felt on the bottoms of them to gain traction on slippery rocks in streams/rivers/creeks.
You might be able to put felt on the bottom of a pair of old shoes. Wouldn't cost much. If it works, great. If not, you're not out much money.

Just back down as close as you can to the dock when you're launching/retrieving. That what I always did with my jetski. 99% of the time I didn't need to get in the water at the ramp.
I still do this with my boat.

Some diving shoes will have felt on the bottoms too.

I was being sarcastic. I've never owned a more slippery shoe.

I have a beach bag full of just as the other poster said cheap arse Walmart beach shoes. The bag stays in my boat at all times since we are at sandbars on the river every weekend they have good traction and have never slipped in them. They cost like $2.

Try Speedo Shorecruisers. Don't know if this will work, but they are great on the beach and either way $35.00 is not going to break the bank.
