the Charbroiled oysters are always good here, the wife, 6yo son and I consumed 4 dozen sitting at the oyster bar...i always seem to seat here, enjoy the bantering with the shuckers...people were waiting for tables, we went straight to bar and seated ourselves immediately...asked the shucker if Tommy C spend allot of time there and he said he is always around...fluer de lis shrimp were also great, it is a fried shrimp app with a chile aoili sauce with ground peanuts, yummy...so after dinner i stroll outside to have a smoke,,return to find Tommy C seated in my seat having a conversation with my 6 yo son (who loves to make friends)asking him about school and how much he reminds him of his 6yo grandson...next thing you know a complimentary giant ice cream brownie sundae (enough for at least 4 people) shows up...no wonder we keep coming back, great food, personalized service

Last time we went we had four people and ordered so many apps we never had entrees. Everything was tasty.

The last time we went we had a great time. Service was a lot better this time around too. The visit before we stopped there on the way to Orange Beach and had a horrible experience but I have to say they were back on their game this time.

A little late for this story, but still appropriate:

Have not been to the Hilton Drago yet,but I will always be honored to patronize anything that family is involved in. Tommy's service to the people of Metairie and New Orleans post-K deserves a statue one day.

Drago's is always underrated.

I am underwhelmed by their menu sans the above mentioned oysters and shrimp.
