What's funny is only people on TD hates the toonces logo. The 3 former Tigers, and two current football players I know well couldn't care less. I Much rather the vintage hemet logo, but the current isn't a deal breaker for me.

Speak for yourself, and assume nothing. Most people I know hate Toonces-head-only..too.
Simply vanquishing the Purple Carolina Hurricane backdrop, and chopping off Midget Arm Mike's dwarf arms, doesn't fix the gaffe..
LSU Intellectual Properties/Logo Attire is still a MAJOR JOKE..
Even in say the Apparel Shop at Lod Cook Hotel, or most any LSU Apparel store in BR, it's 85+ percent garbage garb, and 15% or less classic or tasteful clothing or caps.

Given many former players have been spotted and photographed in LSU clown garb hats, and with a totally flat bill..
I'll appreciate their athletic and academic contributions, yet firmly disregard their style council.
Being a D-1 athlete has nothing to do with being tasteful in attire nor logo design..even if they are the ones that must wear what's handed them by their programs.
Many athletes come from an environment where garish clown garb is actually considered rather fashionable.
If I were a college athlete, I'm sure my school logo would rate at the very bottom vs academia, athletic career, friends, girlfriend, God, family, country,etc..
Doesn't mean Toonces doesn't s@ck!

Toonces Sucks!!! How long do we have to suffer with this embarrassing logo? I refuse to buy anything with Toonces on it, and would urge anyone who wants a change to do the same. I try to support LSU as much as I can, but I draw the line here. If sales decline enough they'll change it. BOYCOTT TOONCES!!! Who's with me?

I think either the mouth closed or open bigger would be better. The current one looks like a mouth breather.

I just hate how it confuses the LSU brand
How the frick does the rest of the country view us?
Our helmet has one tiger on it...our midfield and all Nike apparel has the eye...and then the media uses the toonces head when showing us on a graphic/scoreboard on ESPN and CBS
when they showed the big BCS board during the selection show, we were the only school who's logo that was used was NOT on the helmet

Toonces is terrible.
And it is not like hating on a band...you can choose to listen to something else. I cant choose another favorite team, so I am stuck with a terrible logo.
I actually like it for my infant and toddler....I suppose that speaks volumes

You do realize on lsu's official store site 44 out of the 66 polos are non "toonces"
Very easy to find gear that matches your taste.

also the multiple logos allows lsu to license them at different rates. That is why you don't see the vintage logos at walmart. They license those at a higher rate.
