Going to be in Ruston for the week and would greatly appreciate any tips on where to find a good meal and cold beer. I will have the wife and kids with me so any place family friendly is even better. Thanks !

102 A Bistro may be worth a try. I've had some good experiences there a while back. I've heard some less than favorable things about it recently.

102 seems to be getting back on track. It went through a rough patch when Cory Bahr left. Brought in a chef fron Kansas City who did not understand the market. He's gone and they moved a young guy over from Sage that Cory trained. Manager is working hard on service issues, but in a college town it is hard to keep good help.

Also, agree with Dawg House, great for kids. If it is not too hot, the patio at Sundown is good for burgers and sandwiches.
Raw has decent sushi and Thai curry. Pho Paris has pretty good noodle bowls. Karl Malone opened Terriyaki, sometimes he is cooking. No beer though.
Other choices not mentioned are Portico, Hot Rods, Ponchatoulas, Monjunis, WOW, Ronin.
