When has JT helped us? Other them sending 2nd rate players.

every player since 2000 that LSU offered from John curtis went to LSU other than Joe McKnight. You sound so fricking butt hurt its not even funny. Curtis players rarely pan in college. That's not his fault.

Do these kids not have parents? Why would a coach have so much say in where a kid ends up?

I hope that your joking with this statement?

If not you need to sit down and think about it for a minute.

No, I'm serious. I went to school with a 5 star prospect and another 4 star prospect who went on to be all conference in the big 12. The HighSchool coach had no say in where those kids ended up. That year around 7-8 guys signed D-1 schollies.

My nephew is best friends with a DB on LSU's roster now. They went to school together, played ball, etc. His coach had no say in where he ended up either, it was up to him and his parents. Same went for the guys I went to school with.

Lacy got his tutoring from the same family that helped push Collins to Bama. The Lowery's. If only the Fox reporter could've published the story he has about Collins/Lacy and the Lowery family. I have a feeling parts of this article are a portion of the tidbits Chicken has on the Collins recruitment. Hopefully it comes out one day.

I guess I will just have to come out and say it. Alot of recruits are black who come from broken homes and have hangers on influencing them. Alot of these ppl are coaches who latch onto talented kids when they are young and brainwash them in one direction or another for their own benefit. Now I am not saying that the coaches are literally saying where a perticular kid will or won't go. But if you don't think that these coaches opinions don't have alot to do with what choices these kids make then your fooling yourself.

Well right now we're #3 on rivals for the class of 2013 so I wouldn't sweat any of this stuff too much.

Probably Crutch at St. Aug.

Saban and Burns had a lot of influence on him getting the job recommendation there. You know he will repay them by trying to get Fournette there...

Cow patties....

Landon left for the same reason that Cecil the Diesel got in trouble.

Lacy failed admission to LSU.

Was Benny Saia at Port Allen? If so, I knew his family and they were huge Tiger fans. I wonder what happened

I'm with you, I've crucified for asking that on the RB, I think the coaches influence is grossly over stated. Most coaches do not try and steer a kid to a certain school. They help guide them thru the process and they also don't view it the way fans do. Its family and friends that are bigger influence by and large

That said of course there are some shady characters including some HS coaches in the recruiting game. And yes there are some big time prospects from broken homes and bad environments that can and are manipulated by these shady characters. But fortunately those are in the minority. We're only talking about 1 or 2 players here and there.

I thought the statement was for decarlos Holmes and the shiro deal. I dont think saia or JT pushes players away. i also dont care to evaluate why kids like Collins didn't come to lsu or why lf may not. I choose to focus on kids that want to strap up P&G. lc was replaced and the lf deal is a long way away. if Collins is lazy that wont change if true. being on another level and being lazy says a lot about character.

DeCarlos Holmes distingushed himself well before the Toshrio Davis deal.
He is person of poor judgment and, in my view, questionable character who has been grinding an ax with LSU since the (non) recruitment of Randall Mackey years ago.
That's a very bad combination.
Trouble has followed him everywhere he has gone...He couild be the next Beaar Bryant, but with the ethical risks, I cannot imagine a legitimate program wanting to be associated with him.
So, why did St. Aug hire him?

u are a fukin Moron. i love how u put these guys on a pedastal before they have taken one snap because they have 5 stars. half of these "elite athletes" or as stargazers like you would say, 5 stars are busts because they are primadonnas and dont work hard once on campus..just reference an old rivals lists and tell me how many 5 star irreplaceable guys you have even heard of. wow I wonder how lsu would have ever replaced Chris davenport if they didn't sign him at DT. After all he was a 5 star ranked top 15 overall at DT.

to illustrate your idiocy lsu has 9 guys mentioned as possible 1st rd picks. ZERO were 5 stars. you can tell a lot about these kids the way they handle their recruitment

Uh, yes, yes you do. You get Corey Thompson in stead of Collins. Not as highly rated a prospect, but since neither has played a down of CFB, we have no idea who will turn out better. We didn't get Trent Richardson, but LSU was not lacking at RB in 2011.

The only position you can argue that 1 player can really make that much difference is QB and even then do you have the next Cam Newton or the next Terrell Pryor. The next Vince Young or Ryan Perriloux.

Supposedly Saban and Burns wrote him letters of recommendation, but I've also heard so di Frank Wilson.

His step son or something is Bradley Slyve, who plays for Bama, not sure if he has some other kind of grudge against us.

Randall Mackey is from Port Sulphur..part of those Katrina Rams for Bastrop..@ PS he was coached by Crutchfield. When Crutchfields' step son was being recruited LSU didnt look hard at him because of his height and Crutch got mad. Saban came in and wooed the family with all sorts of "ideas" and he signed with them.

Collins's step mother is the current AD @ South Plaquemines where...yep Crutchfield coached at..she was the lady that gave Collins a kiss on ESPN....now you have heard the rest of the story haha
