The email said that A&M only gave us 6,000 tickets. Anyone remember how many tickets Brian Broussard said they were giving us in a tween back around May?

LSU had 20K requests for A&M tickets. That was Broussard's tweet.
Basically, before we were accepted, Slive and Machen agreed to make A&M's allotment 6K for visitors and A&M would receive 6K from Bama, Miss State, Ole Miss and Auburn IN YEAR 1.
After YEAR 1, we will reflect the standard 8.5K allotment or negotiated upon amount with each school.
Kyle Field is expanding next year, but for this year we had to displace season ticket holders just to accomodate the 6K visiting fans. We were sold out in season tickets before the SEC happened and now we have a waiting list of 4500 and having to deal with increased visitor awareness.
Just like the SEC Schedule in 2012, Mizzou and A&M are patchworking together accomodations for visitors since the Big 12 allotment was 3800.

man I wish our waiting list was that short. I gotta hustle on game day to get in

That's 4500 people, not tickets. You have to buy a minimum of 2 season tickets.

ah got ya... I dunno what the LSU waiting list is like but I'd think its over 9,000. The Saints waiting list is like 60,000 people

LOL at #59,999 in the Saints waiting line.

your posts in the other thread about 120ish scoring a ticket has me even more fired up. haven't been pumped about an away game like this since Miles-Saban I in 2007
probably because I've been to the other places at least 4 times each between hoops and football

I found the tweet I was thinking about. It was on April 30 and by that point there were 11k requests. I misread it and thought A&M had given us 11k tickets.

Which points matter for tickets priority or philanthropic?

So, who on here actually got A&M tickets? Everyone I know who put in for them did not receive any. My family usually gets at least 2 for every away game we put in for.

So season ticket holders got a total of 4900 tickets. Where did the other 1100 tickets go?

110 band members take up about 160 seats bc of equipment.
Two tickets for each player's parents
AD staff, guests of the AD etc...

I am calculating 5500 tickets to season ticket holders. If that is correct, then that leaves 500 for band, player parents and so on.

How many do the students get? 500? 750? The missing tickets is higher than 1100. You're assuming everyone in the allocation put it for and received the max that they could.

Yeah, I know its hard to fathom, but the Big 12 schools and their administrations pretty much hated each other.
I know the SEC has a family hate and it can get intense on gamedays, but outside of that I got the impression (as an outsider) that the schools admins and fans worked together and fought for each other otherwise.
What's funny though about the 3800 allotment was that Baylor, Okie Lite, Tech (in some years), Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas and Kansas State couldn't fill it in most years.
Only fans that traveled were Nebraska, A&M, Texas and OU.

Doesn't the full band travel to one game a year? I'm assuming this is it.... with all the ticket requests why this one? Send their asses to Auburn or Fayetteville.

Did the Louisiana representatives and the governor get their tickets too?
