I own a SBE II and really like it. I been looking for a decent backup shotgun, and came across one of these. I can get a pretty good deal on it trading. Does anybody here own or have any experience with this model? I have had good luck with Benelli so I was planning on staying with them for my backup. Anything y'all guys can tell me would be appreciated

I have one and it's the best shotgun I've ever owned. I've shot everything from sporting clays to geese with it and it hasn't let me down. It's just a great gun.

The model you are asking about is what made the reputation for benelli. My first benelli was a M1 back in 95ish. Getthe gun

I can begin to tell you how many times my M1 has been sunk or dropped in the mud and still killed thousands of ducks.

I've shot the same one since 1995 with no problems.

If you get a "floater" version, you really got something.

IDK... I'm assuming like the SBE's, they changed the bottom of the receiver where they won't do it. Circa 2000 or 2001 maybe? When the SBE became the SBEII...

Yeah, I think the M2 was out by then. I have never seen a M1 that will not carry the floater

Right. I see what your saying. I hear super 90 and I instantly think M1. That's like calling all 3.5 inch benelli's SBE's without denoting SBE or SBEII.
