Opinion on Andreas in Metairie?

Haven't been in years. Heard it has gone down hill. What say you?

I knew him years ago at the Royal Orleans in the FQ, and the stuff that was put on a plate was a thing of beauty, he went to Metry and started on the same scale, but nowadays I have been told on here that it is mailed in, which I can believe. Too many hours over a hot-assed stove will kill you or your soul.

It's one of the things that is trendy to hate on these days for some reason.
Last I went was in 2009. It was still pretty solid but perhaps a little less than what I was expecting for the prices.

I always thought it was a decent place but there are better Italian options in Metaire and New Orleans

i think this place is one of the most terrible restaurants ive ever eaten at. i will never understand how tom fitzmorris pimps this shite hole. the red sauce is bland and nothing i have ever gotten has wowed me here. I have only eaten here in banquet/ group lunch settings so that could be part of it, but my god this place sucks.

Yeah, this is not one of his better times based on events like this I've attended.
I agree with others. It is average, but I have no reason to go back unless I have a coupon or gift certificate.

I went there last year, and was very underwhelmed. Osso Bucco was only so-so, the pasta was mushy, and the vegetables tasted like they were frozen and then microwaved. For the prices they charge it's a crime.
Unfortunately I will have to go back for a small wedding reception in September.
