I could see Suso in Shelvey's position... I like Jonjo, but I agree that his game needs to mature a bit...
I think Enrique gives the ball away too much for that role, but I'm all for shaking some things up in attack... I think Sterling would benefit from sitting some games out, but that doesnt seem like an option at this time due to depth and BR's apparent lack of belief in Assaidi..

Sterling and Allen definitely need a rest. We should be able to get by tomorrow without them.

One of our better halfs this season. Virtually everyone looks terrific. Johnson has been given acres of space on the right and you just knew something would come from him today. Shelvey has looked poor but he was unlucky not to score. Lucas has obvious rust in his passing range, but looks up to speed with the match with is the most important thing. He has given us balance and it has reflected in Gerard's game today.

On the bright side, our midfield looked probably the best it has all season. Lucas brings a balance and toughness to the center that is invaluable. He showed some rust, but you could see the old Lucas was in there on a few of his challenges. If he can stay healthy we could make a run.
Overall almost everyone had a good game. Just put the damned ball in the net for Christ's sake.
