I was always told to lift it to the far post. When the keeper comes out his hands are usually covering the hole under him as he slides so he can't get his hands back across his body to block it. Unless he does some Jackie Chan shite and pops a leg up to block it, money.

Actually one of the best options in that situation is to try to go under/through the keepers legs

Honestly, I think some sort of chip is the only way to go there, but still an incredibly difficult angle there since the keeper did a great job of closing down the space.

So true. He has been such a great buy for Arsenal. One that was a desperation move and it has really benefitted both he and the club.

Team news for Arsenal Under 21s.

Arsenal Under-21s v Reading: Shea, Sagna, Hajrovic, Miquel, Santos, Eisfeld, Coquelin, Wilshere, Frimpong, Gnabry, Akpom.

Subs: Meade, Charles-Cook, Yennaris, Olsson, Bellerin

Good to see Sagna and Wilshere continue their journey back into the first team. Also nice to see Coquelin and Santos get some game time as they will be counted on for the time being with Gibbs and Diaby out.

Sagna went 61 minutes, Jack 74. We're up 2-0. Apparently it's been a good performance. Second was scored off a Wilshere corner.

I'd rather promote Ryo. Losing Walcott means we lose a homegrown slot though.

Fifa will do that to you.

For the record: I want a Kolbeinn Sigþórsson away Ajax kit for the same reasons.

I think we'll re-sign him. This is probably a ploy. I hope that's what it is at least...

Probably so. Arsenal trying to strengthen their negotiating position.

Yeah. Here's Arsenal Supporters' Trust analysis of the financial situation. Quite a bit shorter than Swiss Ramble's LINK

Also, Rafa Marquez mentioned in an interview he thinks Pep will go to England and that Arsenal would be a great fit...

eta: I really think we will buy a top talent in January. Need to spend our income or we will just get taxed on it.

Or we buy lots of promising talent. I wouldn't mind either. Or a little of both. It's too early to tell who is available right now in the winter window.

Very true. Real Madrid's situation is one to keep an eye on as there seems to be something going on there. Especially with regards to Ozil's situation...though that's probably a pipe dream. Already rumors of Falcao have been floating, but I can't see Atletico selling him for any less than the 50mil release clause. Struggling to think of other possibilities, but like you said, it's early.

You're more up on talents in smaller leagues than most. Any players that pique your interest?
