excellent comeback over the second half of the season. huge of arsene to bench the club captain and reinsert Kos, who struggled early, into the XI. really turned our season around. i thought kos was very good last season, but he was great this year. fitting he scored on a similar maneuver to his acrobatic clearances. we finished with second best GA and the best road GA. pretty impressive.
now, about some spending in the summer...

Kos has been tremendous this season. Hard to imagine that people were saying Lescott was better a year ago. Kos's game along the ground is superb, he's fast, he's good with the ball at his feet, and he can tackle. He's only received one yellow card all season, which is mighty impressive.
All in all, a good year with the weakest squad we've had in the Wenger era. We need to find long-term replacements for Arteta and Rosicky, because they can't last that much longer playing at this level. We need to find another RB to compete with Jenkinson. We need to find a striker. We need another CB.
For the summer, I'd like to get rid of the dead weight: Arshavin, Park, Chamakh, Djourou, Bendnter and Squillaci.
If players like Vermaelean, Frimpong, Coquelin or Gervinho want to move on, sell them at a good price.
Buy a striker, a CB or two, a midfielder, an RB.

arshavin and squid are out of contract. the others, we'll see. Will be interesting to see if we re-sign Baccy or sell him. seems like TV5 would want to play every week. would kinda be surprised if he didn't move on this summer.

Yeah he's a good player, but he is just a moron at times with his positioning. I thought he made a breakthrough at the beginning of the season, but the first Chelsea game it all came unraveled. Has to be a disappointing season for him. Wouldn't mind selling him and trying to bid for a player like Sakho.

I'm glad I don't have to ask the question of how no CL would affect our signings.

What a bunch of bs. Just got home from work to find out fox soccer2go wont even have the game. They have all the other fricking games.
Alas i got to see 2 minutes of highlights and i guess that will have to do.

I was actually thinking about this, and wouldn't this be the equivalent to qualifying for the playoffs in American sports? When a baseball team clinches a playoff spot, they pop champagne in the lockerroom. When a football team clinches a playoff spot, it's not unlikely for the team to do a lap around the field high-fiving fans. I don't really think this is that different.

Its similar, but diff. Making champions league is like making a play off. But it goes on during the season. Big diff is they dont care ab the sports most americans care ab. So to them its normal.
But i guess its hard to see when ur team spends a lot and constantly changes managers just to finish 3rd.
