That Cazorla dive would make Suarez blush. Jesus.

No rebuttal here, I am kind of sad that the dive will steal the show from an otherwise well played match by the gunners though

It was a pretty good dive.

What was funny to me was that dude badly wanted to give away a penalty there. It was a stupid, lazy challenge.

All in all, good performance. We deserved the 3 points. Wilshere looked superb. Still need to figure out some finishing.

Yes, Wilshere was the key. He was linking play wonderfully. He turned Mulumbu a couple of times, and got goalside of him quite easily.

This team will get better as the season goes on. The more time this team plays together, the more they will gel. It was only now we saw combination play on the level that we saw in years past. There was one combo between Wilshere, Cazorla, and Arteta that was boner-worthy, which led to a goal-scoring chance.

We were very wasteful when the ball was in the goal mouth, and I swear Gervinho has to be the most frustrating player in history. I noticed a directness in our play that has been lack for a while, and we moved the ball quite well, which we needed to do.

Zonal Marking wrote something in Four Four Two magazine about the evolution of our midfield in the Emirates Era. The gist of it was how we were supposed to have this young core that would grow together since we wouldn't have the money to spend. Instead of growing together though, injuries and sales kept our midfield in constant flux year to year. Anyways, in the last paragraph he wrote about our current trio which on paper looks to be fantastic and seemed to suggest a lack of chemistry was the biggest reason for our struggles. Seems like we took a step forward in that regard today. Mainly because Wilshere frequently showed 2010/11 burst which he had rarely shown so far this season. Hopefully they'll continue to improve.

We also did a good job pressing in midfield. West Brom were supremely poor on the ball. I was rather amazed.

Anybody got a link to long highlights? I'd like to see how we looked.

I'll answer my own question

Zonal Marking article I mentioned. Interesting walk down memory lane since I started following Arsenal closely at the beginning of the Emirates era.

Also, is the Arteta-Wilshere-Cazorla keepy uppy in that highlight? That move deserved a goal.

Cazorla is a lying bastard.

It's easily plausible that he was touched dude.

Not by any means saying he should have gone down, but he almost definitely got "touched"

I loved this from Wenger though.

Ian Darke is about as fair as I have ever seen.

Ives said something similar. It was a bad dive, but one of the worst ever? Gimme a fricking break.

Rosenberg's dive in the second half was roughly 1000x more embarrassing/terrible.

Yep, but because it happened after the other and didn't result in a penalty everyone not watching the game will never hear of it.
