Any top class players who aren't bank breakers? Since I don't believe Arsenal would break the bank for one anyway.
Not many although this seems like the time to get them since United, City, PSG, Madrid and Barcelona have all recently loaded up and I wouldn't imagine they would be in the market for one currently. Chelsea would be the only competition, but I don't see them chasing the same players anyway.

That and you hope Torres stays in form enough for them not to go after some guys. Nah screw that, I'd rather lose out on a guy than have them get points because Torres is playing well.

Like I said, I don't think it would matter either way what Chelsea do. Arsenal can't chase the same caliber player as they can. I certainly think Roman would like an upgrade at striker though.

Any chance a big club like Real is trying to loan out or offload a player who just doesn't fit into their side? There are big time clubs who certainly have high quality players sitting the bench.

I think the little pea would start every now and them at LFC, but not be a sure starter every (big) game... How is he defensively, does he track back? I think there are a lot of good young strikers out there, but all come with a degree of risk... Hopefully, we're scouting a few...

I don't see why he wouldn't. He would be fantastic. Though I do agree we should chase a different type of player. One who is heavily involved in build-up, energetic AND clinical. Chicharito isn't the perfect fit, but he puts the ball in the net so regularly that I think Rodgers would find a way to fit him in the system.

Don't get me wrong, given our depth, I'd have him in a heartbeat... I actually think he would be better off the bench, but given our situation, I'm sure he'd get starts...

We have people who can score, this time ladt year we were in liverpools shoes cus only rvp was finding the net. I am pleasantly surprised with this team, imagine what arsene can do if they spent money like chelsea? We have a bunch of good players, no superstars.

I would say Cazorla is close to being a superstar. Arteta is massively underrated. If Jack Wilshere returns to form after the injury he is a superstar no doubt. Arsene reacting to Giroud miss. He commented on how Giroud should have finished it after the game. It shows how much Arsene wants it. I think he realizes he doesn't have much time left as he is getting up there in age.

Honest question here. What could Arsenal's U-21 squad do against a mid-tier MLS team like the Dynamo? Going from watching Arsenal Saturday morning to the Dynamo Saturday night really displays the ridiculous gap in talent. I'm trying to get an idea of where a U-21 team at a super club woul dbe.

Generally, I'd say they probably would get beat. Experience and physicality would help the MLS a lot. Also, most U21s don't make it to the club and end up playing in lesser leagues more or less equal to the MLS. Today's squad though had: Martinez; Bellerin, Hajrovic, Miquel, Meade; Yennaris, Frimpong, Wilshere; Rees, Ebecillio, Neita with guys like Eisfeld, Olsson, and Gnabry on the bench. That's 3 guys with PL experience and 6 of our very top Reserve players. Probably would make a better match of it than most U21 squads.

I'm happy, but I'm still more concerned with our striker situation

We'll need some midfield reinforcements since Diaby broke again. :(

Yeah. It'll be the end of the month probably. Beyond thrilled though to see the eventual Cazorla/Arteta/Wilshere midfield trio.

I figured now that Diaby is out we would already move Ramsey in there and have Gervinho play out wide with Giroud up top. Even with multiple midfield injuries we actually have some depth, from players who aren't scrubs.
