Bayern weren't great in their first friendly but I heard Alaba had a pretty great free kick goal.

I'm in on Bayern.

Starting to feel pretty comfortable with the EPL and its time to branch out and add another league to my viewing pleasure.

Since the German team is my second favorite national team, and half the German team is on Bayern, it seem slike a natural fit (despite my love/hate relationship with Robben).

Loved watching them last year in the CL (except the final). This thread is catching me up on things. With a lot of the TV rights changing hands this past year, will the Bund still be on GolTV this coming year? Between that and the CL games, I should be able to catch quite a few games.

If you have GOL and espn3 you'll be able to catch quite a bit

I hear Weiser was pretty impressive in the friendly, did anyone actually catch it or see the replay?

I had to work, I went and looked up an article about it and got a pretty good idea of what happened. Said Shaqiri was lively but erratic. Weiser had a bunch of great crosses that no one could get on the end of. Lots of chances, but no one could finish.

Looks like Alaba's free kick wrong footed the keeper. He took a step to his right as the shot was taken and couldn't recover.

yeah i read similar. i just now realized that weiser was on the u-17 WC team last summer when i watched. i remembered can because he was captain and had a weird name. both are very good players, doubt they will feature much in the first team this season. who knows they might get in there and compete for a spot in hopes of not becomes this years usami.

next pre season game is tomorrow vs fc ismaning. it's at 18:00 hours euro time so by my very amateur math that's about 11 central standard time. i wont be able to watch because i have a math test at 3 tomorrow. links might be on firstrowsports. should be a similar squad, im hoping we score more goals this game.

lineup for today vs ismaning : Rafinha, Dante, van Buyten, David Vrzogic - Gustavo, Can - Weiser, Shaqiri, Alaba - Oliver Markoutz

it's 1-0 at HT. either markoutz scored in the 9th and weiser assisted or weiser scored and idk who assisted. im finding conflicting reports.

Can is a beast. I don't know anything about Vrzogic and Markoutz really. We should call in Tobias Schweinsteiger to take care of these fools.

Yeah I've honestly never heard their names i don't think. I'm down for Tobi to come in and handle that work. We need more fricking goals. I think weiser will assume an Alaba like role, kid is good. Hell of a grab from köln

new lineup Raeder - Rankovic, Can, Dante, Alaba - Gustavo, Rafinha - Weiser, Shaqiri, Markoutz - Friesenbichler

Friesenbichler scored off a Shaq assist 2-0 bayern

daniel wein in for gustavo, should look something like this now Raeder - Rankovic, Wein, Dante, Alaba - Can, Rafinha - Weiser, Shaqiri, Markoutz - Friesenbicler

3-0 Shaq off an Alaba assist

benno Schmitz subbed on for someone.he's a RB/LB so i'm assuming Rankovic. I really need to become more well versed in my bayern.2 squad members

4-0 Schmitz from an Alaba assist.

looks like all the Weiners are wet for Alaba in die Ostereich

final from ismaning 4-0.

all squads are headed to Trentino this weekend, tour of china after that.

eta: Markoutz 9' Friesenbichler 71' Shaqiri 86' Schmitz 90'

Shaqiri goal. Glad to see it. I wish they'd do a USA tour instead of china.

China has a bigger market/potential market though. They should come to America once though. I'm pretty sure the tour of Asia/china is an annual thing; they should do a tour of Texas instead. Play dynamo, Dallas, and the nasl scorpibros. Yeah I'm fappin

Really looking forward to seeing how the attacking spots come together. There is a lot of international star level talent there.

I'm a big fan of Kroos and his future. Same with Mueller, though he seemed to struggle at times this past year.

Is Shaq there to rotate in amongst a couple of spots (L, R and C attacking MF?) or is he more a straight replacement/sub for Robben (isn't Robben in the last year of his deal?)

Robben signed an extension to stay til 2015. I like Kroos too but I think he is better as a deep lying playmaker than he is at attacking mid.

Shaq has been playing CAM in the warmup friendlies so they may be trying to groom him there. I'd like to see that in some games with Robbery. He has a rocket attached to his left foot but he isn't like Robben because he'll go on his right if needed.

He's also thick enough to take a beating. Ze Powercube.
