Where's the best place around br to get some fresh shrimp. Stopped by a little stand in st. Gabriel and they had em at $5.69 a pound. Thought that was a little high. Are there any trucks that park around or just outside the city? Any advice would help. Thanks guys

Look for the side with the sign that says "Fresh Shrimp".

Good grief......I bought some nice 15-20's at the shrimp lot in Westwego 2 weeks ago for $3.00/lb.

Can't go wrong with Tony's. I have no idea what the price is, but they always had the best seafood.

Sandy's seafood does run to the docks all over the coast to pick up fresh shrimp so they do have real fresh shrimp. Not all year long but during the season it is very possible they have never been frozen.

ANother good spot would be Tommy's Fish house in Prairieville. He has his own dock in Chalmette and processing facilities in New Orleans East.

i think that place on airline near tom is closed on sunday. my wife and i went this past sunday and nobody was there. so we got em from tonys. nice med. head on was 4.49 i think.they allways make sure you get what you pay for, the lady that was weighing mine would put them in a basket in front of me and really cleaned them well ie took out all the ice, mashed, and shrimp heads [with no body] out.

Yea, I think they are open Thursday-Saturday if I'm not mistaken. I actually used to sell them shrimp but only when they couldn't find fresh shrimp at the docks.
