Just downloaded Seasons 1-4 of Breaking Bad

Is this one of those shows that takes a while to get hooked (sort of like The Wire/Mad Men/Sopranos?) or one of those shows that you will know from the very first episode if you like it or not (ala Game of Thrones?)
Also, how long do I have to get through these? Season 5 starts soon, right?

It's good from the get go. And I believe that season 5 starts July 15th.

The pilot for breaking bad is possible the greatest pilot for a tv show I have ever seen. I was hooked enough then that I immediately wanted to watch episode 2

AMC started playing all of the episodes. I am watching season 1 episode 5 right now...so far, so great.

After the first episode I was like yeah this it tight will make you want to watch the second episode immediately after

I envy you because you're going to be watching this show for the first time. This is one of the greatest shows I've ever seen and I was addicted from the get-go.

Yeah I've gotten so many people to watch this show. Everyone I'm like you are so lucky that you are about to watch this and haven't seen it yet

I didn't like the first season.
I watched it and then didn't start season 2 for like a year. Im glad I picked the show back up though

First few episodes start a little slow but it picks up quick. Each season is better than the last IMO. Season 4 is the best of any drama series I have ever seen.

Well I was into it from the start but S1 is garbage compared to S3 and S4. It's a show that's gotten better and better with each season.
Even if you're not feeling S1, I'd stick with it because it gets wwaaaayyyyyy better. S1 is amateur and S4 is HOF material.

I went from not know what it was to watching all 4 seasons in a 2 week span! Best show on TV!
