Chargrilled Duo
quote:I have had one for the last three years. I really enjoyed it, but one major issue. After 2.5 years the gas side began to rust out. I had a cover and kept it covered most of the time. I believe the issue is water got in the drip pan under the gas grill and I didnt' empty it out enough. I'm guessing this may have sped up the rust process. I have read reviews that also had a rust issue as well. Despite the gas rust issue the charcoal side did not rust at all and I'm still able to use it without any trouble.
Does anyone have an opinion on this combo grill?

Thanks, donut!
I'm hoping to get one for Father's Day.

If you're looking for charcoal go with the Old Country for 199(it's heavy as hell), if you're looking for a combo just get the Triton(same as the Duo, but it has the smoker box/gas burner on the side). I did not like any of the gas grills at Academy.

Not looking for a combo, just charcoal grill

I would get a Weber kettle for sure. It's in your price range and has been one of the best charcoal grills on the market for a long time.
