Did Dottie drop the ball on purpose to give Kit the glory? I kind of think she may have. Shame to let your team down like that, and intentional, she should get the Pete Rose treatment.

OK, related question -- why did Marla Hooch leave the team midseason to get married? Couldn't she have stayed on for the season and get married in the offseason? And losing your cleanup hitter had a bigger impact on the series than Dottie dropping the ball intentionally. The Peaches win in 5 if Hooch (and Dottie) are there.
