nice article talks about how Lsu has turned the heat up on jarrell and has made him a priority since coach jones has been hired. LINK

From the same link.....
I love it.
• Dallas-based Urban DFW Elite will be in New Orleans for an upcoming tournament. Once they're done playing, at least two star players are expected to make a side trip to Baton Rouge to check out LSU. Class of 2013 four-star prospects Jordan Mickey and Karviar Shepherd are expected to visit at the tail end of the Memorial Day weekend, and the nation's No. 35 and No. 44 recruits, respectively, could come as a package deal. Mickey and Shepherd are also high school teammates at Arlington (Texas) Grace Prep.

Even if we don't land anyone in that article it's nice to see LSU mentioned with several top prospects finally.

Articles like this make me feel bad for ever defending Johnson

yeah johnny is putting in work and going after the big dogs, while it always seemed like trent went after leftovers.Plus we have heard more recruiting news in the last month then we ever did under trent.

Trent's philosophy was to put up a fence around Country Day and then just chill

Yea, I kinda agree. CJJ is doing some work on the recruiting trail. I'm actually becoming optimistic about the future of LSU basketball

Man, with all talk about LSU in that article I thought it had to be written by an LSU site, but it appears to be a national recruiting round-up. Sounds like Martin may be a Greg Monroe level recruit and it sounds like we've got a great shot with him.

I know y'all have a guy on this board who knows Craig Victor personally, so does anyone know Martin well?

the article also says that Montrezl Harrell, (#82 player in the nation) from Hargrave Military, is interested in us, now that he's decomitted from Virginia Tech!
Montrezl Harrell Rivals
Way to go Johnny!

We are not in the picture with Harrell.

Arlington Grace Prep is where my son graduated from in 2007. I wasn't able to make any Grace Prep games this year but I can tell you that these are good kids. Grades should not be a problem, since you have to test in to go to Grace Prep. I believe that Grace Prep doesn't even allow kids to come in as seniors since they usually can't handle the school work. They are very respectful. When you talk to them it is "yes sir and yes ma'am.

Nobody that is related to him like Victor. But Martin is in BR and has close ties to Collis Temple, who was a huge proponent of bringing Johnny Jones back to LSU. So I really like our position with Martin for that reason alone.

I'll just second the motion: awesome work CJJ
