Red bean mochi ice cream is awesome btw.
As far as Nagoya, I no longer go there for the sushi. I'm not sure if it was the time that I saw them open up some tupperware with a bunch of already cut slices of tuna, or the time when I became sick (can't say for sure it was them, but I distinctly tasted the Saba I had on the way back up and then for about a day after that). Unagi (eel) for instance is served refrigerated cold, whereas anywhere else tosses it in a toaster, which is one of the appealing aspects of Unagi.
Sometimes it's slow there which means the buffet food suffers in both quality and quantity. The best times to go are obviously around 6:30-7 for peak turnover, especially weekends and all day on Sunday.
Now for the reasons I like Nagoya. For instance, sometimes I really get a craving for fried frog legs and a beer. If I'd order a few full saddles anywhere else, I'd already be halfway to what I'm paying at Nagoya. Then it's off to partake in the crab legs or huge head on shrimp, which usually aren't overcooked. I enjoy some of the side dishes like the seaweed salad and kimchee. The bone in flounder can be alright, and I finish with some fresh melon.
Even though I'm not an advocate of their sushi, when I leave there, I'm usually satisfied for what it is.

Don't they have a Nagoya in Central now?

Probably thinking of Central Buffet. They have a mini sushi bar (actually better than the typical Chinese buffet sushi bar you will find), a hibachi and a pretty huge selection of dishes on the buffet. For Central it's not too bad

I used to be a big fan of the place. Then I got sick as a dog after eating there in March....had to skip the St. Patrick's Day Parade in favor of drinking Pedialyte. Never, ever again.
I've only been once and I was so sick. I spent the entire night getting up to go to the bathroom

What's the name of the sushi place that is the best in BR? The chef there trained all the other chefs around town.

Sushi Yama.
I've mentioned it several times before, but Thai kitchen has a very good sushi chef as well.
