First Saints game you can remember going to

I know this is probably a pretty generic thread topic, but I'm tired of the rest of it right now.
I haven't been to a lot, mostly pre-season games, but mine was the Denver game in '88 . Saints won 42-0. I remember Dave Waymer picking off Elway right in front of us, and I remember us being up 35-0 near the end of the game and the crowd starts chanting "42! 42! 42!" Hebert hits Eric Martin for a TD in the back of the endzone to grant us our wish and rub some salt in the wounds of the Broncos.
Ask Paddy about the Washington game in '09.

I was also at that 1988 Broncos game. I can't believe they ended up missing the playoffs that year. My first game was the 1983 Monday night one against the Jets. Then we had to go out and get Richard Todd who did nothing for the Saints.
My only other games were 1991 against the 49ers (the gondola on fire game) and the San Antonio game against the Bills. All 4 of my home games have been memorable.

I am sure that I went to games during the season, but the Saints game that I remember most from my youth is the Saints-Vikes Wild Card game in the 80's. I am still traumatized by that game.

I remember. Start off 9-3, lose 3 in a row at the end, 3 way tie in the West, and miss the playoffs

My first Saints game was actually the one where Joe Horn pulled out the cell phone.

right after new years 1994 (1993 season) Saints played the Bengals... Steve Walsh vs. David Klinger

I have never been to a Saints game.

I don't remember the year, but I think it was the last season Eric Dickerson played for the Rams. Saints won 6-0 on 2 Morten Anderson field goals. The best part of the game was when 2 Rams fans asked if they could use our paper bags. They said that we didn't need them any more.

Regular season: 1979 season opener vs. Falcons.
I was in the end zone where Russell Erxleben muffed the punt and threw the INT to the Atlanta player in the end zone.

I can barely remember my first Saints game. I know it was with you. I just remember yelling my head off and you being embarrassed.
I was at that game in 09 in Washington. I left the stadium right before the missed FG and missed one of the best comebacks in Saints history.

I remember being on the boat (working) and watching the ESPN tracker on the game. When I saw it updated that they had tied it, I texted you saying something like "how incredible was that??". Your reply: "What?"
I was kind of heartbroken for you, but over time, it's the thing I laugh about the most.

The loss to the Falcons at old Tulane Stadium. 62-7 or some ridiculous score like that. Opening day 1973.

I think it was an 1989 preseason game against the Colts. My mom & sister were part of the halftime show so we went to see them.
First regular season game was in 1994 vs. NYG. Saints won 27-22. That was a battle of mediocre proportions between Jim Everett and Dave Brown.

It was a frustrating game. I was praying for a 3 and out to get the ball back but fricking Jason Campell was killing us and our offense was one dimensional that day. I also had these drunk a-holes yelling in my year. I still wish I would have stayed.

1978 — Falcons vs. Saints: Falcons win 20–17 on a 57-yard Hail Mary from Steve Bartkowski to Alfred Jackson.
It was excruciatingly painful.

Be glad you aren't sitting across from him right now.

Same score as the Colts game. Symmetry.

Saints/49ers 2002.. We won, don't remember much besides the obnoxious 49ers fans behind us.
Most memorable would be Saints/Jets 2009:
"This is how y'all gon be in a little while - quiet"
Actually I could barely hear my girlfriend speak (which wasn't so bad actually) over the noise of Sharper's pick six and sack/fumble of Sanchez in the endzone.

I know I went to one or two of the final Jim Mora games, but really can't remember which ones. I was in high school then and Sunday was film day after football games, so they had to be late in the season.
I remember in '97 & '98 being able to call the ticket office on Thursday and get tickets for that Sunday against the Falcons. Different days for sure.
