Weekend Results Thread.

Friday.. Bayou Corne area

Left out of Boudreauxs. No pics, but four of us got 60 in the boat, kept 36. Biggest was 3lbs. Bite was slow in the lake, we had to get out pretty far before things got good. Saw a ton of reds early but couldn't get them to hit a damn thing.

Other boat limited out after blowing a motor and getting towed the last little bit out to the honey hole.

Did you fish the Causeway or further South. They've been tearing up the trout this past week, but I haven't heard of anyone catching good ones at the Causeway lately.

Fri:work, baseball, beer

Sun: fishingfailure at lake verret. Boat ran like a champ. I dont wanna sell it anymore

Spent a lot of time with the family and a lot of time doing schoolwork.

I did make a short trip to Bayou Corne on Saturday morning. Caught 3 13" bass on a buzzbait in the first 30 minutes and then couldn't get much bass action so I switched to my Zebco and jigs. Caught 10 keepers and about the same amount of throwbacks in about 1.5 hours of fishing. Had my boat trailered and was on my way home by 10:30 am.

Back to doing schoolwork and am about to crash. Back to work tomorrow and a tournament tomorrow night.

Here's the one i netted one year ago. Or at least it's a replica.

We go offshore every couple weeks and went on a little trip yesterday. I really don't get the red snapper thing. Seems like almost every time I reeled something in one of those was on my line. Not a bad trip yesterday, but it got pretty rough out there later in the afternoon.


Caught our limit of Amberjack, but some of them were kind of small yesterday.


Caught some scamp grouper and a few mangrove snappers.

Spring Bayou Saturday. Hit the spots that had been hot for the last 2 weeks. Caught three on my first milk run. Hmmm. Hit the next one. Nothing. Last one was better, but still sucked. Maybe kept 6 perch plus a bluegill, a chinq and a goggle. It's over. No more perch until next year.

Went crabbing, and I came home with crabs.
