Staying at the Hilton Resort across from Sea World and needing a dinner reccomendation for tomorrow night. Nothing too fancy since we will have our 3 year old with us, but any kind of food is fine. I had this link bookmarked from a while back, not sure what places are around me. TIA LINK

San Antonio is home to my favorite restaurant of all time, Paesano's. There is one on 1604 and one down on the Riverwalk. Both of which are a good trek from Sea World though.

Rudy's BBQ across the street is pretty damn solid.

Rudy's is damn fine!! We used to get it weekly when I lived there for work. I would pick up $200 worth at a time when we had weekly meetings. A few of us would then take the rest of it home with us. Excellent BBQ.

I liked Salt Grass (it is a small chain). They got one on 1604 near you, one on the riverwalk and one on I-10. All within your range.
There is a pretty awesome hole in the wall hibachi place called shoguns if hibachi is your thing. Its in the NW quadrant of the city.
Also, there is no shame in going to Jim's and getting some fried steak fingers and white gravy.

I was never big on Rudy's. I mean, it was ok. My brother loved that shite for some reason.
The OP should think about traveling around the southern parts of 1604 and find a taco stand on the side of the road. Never found one that was bad. Just add salsa verde.

Salt Grass is part of Landry's, which is massive.

Boudro's is really good but that's about a 25 min drive from where he's staying I believe

Thanks for the recommendations guys, Rudy's is pretty good but we drive through Lockhart today and ate at Smitty's and will be going back through there and eating at Kreutz's on Sat. Are there any hole in the wall gems within 10 miles or so of me? Thanks to all for replying.

Right. I was just trying to admit it up front before the chain police messed me up for even giving him the name of the place.

We were just in San Antonio a few weeks ago. Eat at Dough Pizzaria. It is hard to find but the pizza and deserts were really good.
For breakfast you have to make a trip downtown to the Guenther House. Biscuits are unreal.

Don't forget about Paesano's (Shrimp Paesano) or Bohanan's, located downtown.
