It's American Craft Beer Week, of course you should drink some. Not that you should need an excuse.

Northern Brewer had a special a while back, when i first started brewing (a little over a year ago) on Surly recipe kits. Apparently they were Surly approved.

Interesting. I haven't had a beer of their's i didn't like. They even serve Surly at Target Field for Twins games. Man I'd be wasted every game i went to if i could have that option.

Does no one like Abita Jockamo? I find that it is a nice IPA and locally brewed to boot. Plus with the new cans you can have a canned IPA from Louisiana while sitting in the pool. I mainly stick to Pale Ales, IPAs and wheats.

Pale Ale/IPA
Jockamo
St. Arnold Elissa
Dogfish Head 90
Sam Adams Latitude 48
Sierra Nevada Torpedo

Wheat
Paulener Hefe
St. Arnold Lawnmower
Shiner Bock Hefe

I'm with you.

I'm terrible when it comes to these lists and such. Plus depending on the day of the year and location/time/barometric pressure/lunar cycle has an effect on what beer I'm feeling most.

LSUBoo

What was not clear? I have Jockamo up in IPAs.

I may give it too much credit just because it is brewed in LA but i'd rather give money to a local brewery if the beer isn't far off and Jockamo is a good IPA IMHO.

Your name is almost the exact same as rutiger, who hates Jockamo and wheat beers.

I hate jockamo, personally. If your reasoning is cans, you can get sierra nevada pale ale and torpedo in cans now.

That's not the only reason I like Jockamo. I think it has a good taste. To each his own I guess. I like the fact that I can get it in a can also though. I doubt Sierra Nevada is in cans up in NWLA. I'll look though.

I will judge anyone that doesn't have Franziskaner Weissbier under their wheat category

BPA: Delirium Tremens, Grimbergen, Leffe
Wheat: both Franziskaners and Sierra Nevada Summer and liked the Sam Adams Coastal tried awhile back
IPA: been liking Rio Grande and Four Hand lately
Tripel: Maredsous
Dubbel: Maredsous
Stout: Sam Smith Oatmeal and Nils Coffee
Brown: NOLA and Sam Smith Nut
Blonde: NOLA
domestic light: Michelob and Bud Select
Winter Seasonal: Corsendonck & Sam Adams
Oktoberfest: Abita, Sam Adams, Spaten, Paulaner
all I can think of now
