If Vilma innocent then why not do a lie detector test and make GOoDell look bad

I would love this if he is telling the truth. And I think it would finally put all the pressure on Goodell to overturn all the suspensions.

Why doesn't he just swear on his grandma?

Probably because lie detector tests are bs

If lie detectors were so reliable, don't you think we would be using them on things far more important than whether Vilma was involved in a bounty program? Like, maybe in our judicial system?

It's so symmetrically perfect.

Shoulda gone with this one:

Depending on state. Lie detector tests are admissible in court.

Just tell Vilma to promise that he's telling the truth.
That'll sure show Goodell and force his hand...

They are very accurate. Police use them all the time to narrow down suspects.
This is actually a good idea.

Lie detectors can be beaten and falsely convict someone of lying. That's why they're bs. If they were as cut and dry as you make it sound, then it would be used as hard evidence in court. Which it isn't.

You can't really think I was speaking about whether they are ever admissible...

That's anecdotal.

Like Goodell is doing with this whole thing.

Why doesn't Godell just put forth to the public the evidence that proves the Saints were so wrong and then we can put an end to the chapter and move on to the season?
Seriously, what is the reason he doesn't - other than if he doesn't have sufficient stuff. Might there be an overabundance of bad stuff staining the NFL further and incriminating more people? Curious fans really want to know.
Didn't they put forth the accusation that as many as 27 players were involved??? What happens to the other 23? They're off scott-free?

1) the burden of proof is on the commissioner
2) polygraphs are not 100% reliable
