I'm not trying to convince anyone to change their opinion on anything. I simply want TacticalEA to recognize that the ending has easily explainable deficiencies and it's not misplaced "fanboy rage".

The only thing that the ending of ME3 proved to me was that I was emotionally invested in a series, enough to get really aggravated. That sensation has dulled though, it's over and there is nothing I can do to change it.

I can agree with this, but blaming EA as a whole and boycotting all future titles of theirs comes off as "fanboy rage". I for one wouldn't let the ending of Mass Effect 3 stop me from playing Madden

He'll say that that's only your opinion and it's a "shitty defense" and when you ask him to defend his position, after defending your own, he'll simply tell you that he doesn't have to defend his opinion.

That's alright, just tell me how/why you think the ending to Mass Effect 3 is "fine."

EA is too large of a company for me to boycott completely, but I tend to stray away from developers they acquire once I figure out they've poisoned the creative well.
I've liked the Dead Space series and I play BF3 pretty consistently, can't see myself giving that up. BioWare is a different story.

I detest quoting myself but in this case I'll make an exception.

Yes Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 has changed my opinion on the quality I expected from Bioware. Any sane customer would do so. It's called cutting your losses.

and for no reason, one of my favorite mass effect memes:

Maybe if Jules took the paragon route, those dudes would have helped take out Butch while Vincent sits on the shitter.

I felt that ultimately Sheppard was going to have to make the ultimate sacrifice which he did. With the entire galaxy finally banding together against a common enemy that it probably wasn't going to be able to defeat anyway (and as I played through the trilogy I always figured mo matter what, war against the Reapers was futile). I felt as though the loss of Sheppard and the destruction of the Mass relays was really the only choice at salvation the galaxy had as long as life endures (after all that's what we are fighting for) ultimately in the post credit scene this was touched upon and Sheppard is remembered as a legend.
This is why I liked it.

That doesn't really address the plot holes, but it is better than what you've offered previously.

I didn't care that Shepard died (even though one of the endings bastardized even that by having him breathing at the end). I am upset that no matter what ending you get, it is the same damn thing.
If the current ending was ONE of various endings, I would have been fine with it...if the plotholes of Joker turning into a pussy, your love interest uncharacteristically leaving you on Earth, and the mass relays explosions not blowing up the galaxies as all the lore say that is what would happen were removed or handled better.
